Harbour Foxes meet Iron Kestrels in a best-of-three quarter-final at the Example Cup Europe, and we have two bets: Harbour Foxes to win the match, and the series to go to a third map. Stakes are in points, and every result goes into our record, winners and losers alike. How we preview matches explains the staking plan.

The likely map veto

Harbour Foxes are the higher seed and will start the veto. Both teams have made the same bans in each of their last five best-of-threes, which makes the order easy to predict:

  1. Harbour Foxes ban Anubis.
  2. Iron Kestrels ban Inferno.
  3. Harbour Foxes pick Mirage (map 1).
  4. Iron Kestrels pick Nuke (map 2).
  5. Harbour Foxes ban Overpass.
  6. Iron Kestrels ban Dust II.
  7. Ancient is left over as the decider (map 3).

Mirage should go the Foxes' way. Nuke is the Kestrels' strongest map, built on the best defensive (CT-side) record in the event. The decider is close on paper, although the Foxes won both of their Ancient maps this month. New to vetoes? Our CS2 betting guide explains how they work.

Form and team news

Harbour Foxes have won seven of their last ten maps and came through the group stage without losing a series. Their AWPer, the team's main sniper, is back after missing the last event.

Iron Kestrels play with a stand-in after a roster change last week. A stand-in rarely knows every set play, and the Kestrels have lost three of their last four decider maps. If you bet on a team with a substitute, check your bookmaker's rules on line-up changes first.

Our bets

BetPriceStake
Harbour Foxes to win the match1.732 pts
Over 2.5 maps (the series goes to a decider)2.051 pt

Harbour Foxes to win (2 pts). A price of 1.73 implies a 58% chance. With the stronger pick, a settled line-up and the better recent record on the decider, we make them nearer 63%, so we'd still back them down to 1.65.

Over 2.5 maps (1 pt). Each team has a map it rarely loses, so a 1-1 split before Ancient is the most likely path. Five of the Kestrels' last seven best-of-threes went to a third map.

Before you bet

  • Prices move. We quote the best price we could find when we published, so yours may be bigger or smaller.
  • A map handicap or correct score bet gives a bigger price on the same view, with more risk. Esports betting markets explained shows how each one settles.
  • Check the match format and your bookmaker's rules on stand-ins and walkovers.
  • Betting is for adults aged 18 and over. Previews are opinions, not guarantees, so only bet what you can afford to lose.
